Cookie policy

Short answers to the questions people actually ask about the cookies on this site.

How many cookies does this site set?

One, and only after you press a button on the cookie banner. If you ignore the banner, nothing is stored at all.

Cookie Purpose Kept for
consent Remembers your answer to the banner: accepted or rejected 180 days

This is a first-party, strictly necessary cookie, set by opinionconduit.com itself. It holds no identifier, it's only ever sent back to our own server, and under EU and Italian rules it doesn't need your consent: without it, the site couldn't remember that you said no. We don't use advertising cookies, third-party cookies, or browser storage for tracking.

What changes when I click "Accept"?

Right now, nothing beyond storing your answer. The banner asks whether we may count which guides people read, but no measurement tool is installed today, so "Accept" and "Reject" have the same effect.

If we add one, we'll first list it on this page (its name, its cookies, how long they last and who receives the data), update the privacy policy and show the banner to everyone again. It will only run for readers who accepted.

And if I click "Reject", or just close the banner?

You get exactly the same site. Closing the banner with the × in its corner counts as "Reject", never as consent. Refusing never locks you out of any page, and "Reject" is always as easy to reach as "Accept".

How do I change my answer?

Use the button below. It deletes the consent cookie in this browser and brings the banner back so you can answer again.

The answer is stored separately in each browser and on each device, so your phone and your laptop will ask once each. You can also find a "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.

Can I block cookies in my browser instead?

Yes. Blocking or deleting cookies for opinionconduit.com doesn't break anything; you'll just see the banner every time, because we can't remember your answer. Browser instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

What about the sites I visit from here?

Survey panels, apps and partner offers we link to have their own cookie banners and policies. When you arrive through an affiliate link, the platform or the affiliate network may set cookies to record that the visit came from OpinionConduit, so the commission can be credited (see the affiliate disclosure). You accept or refuse those on their site, not ours.

Who do I ask about this?

Write to info@opinionconduit.com. The privacy policy covers the rest of the data we handle.
